Cleaning Gear with Dugga Boy and some new books

I have been toying with the idea of buying a microscope to be able to check stool samples for parasites myself at times. And purchased a few books to be able to improve my limited medical ability when it comes to my dogs. I am always trying to put more info under my belt to maintain and care for my children especially in trauma situations. Any suggestions on the matter would be appreciated. Not much to report otherwise as Turkey Season has put a damper on my hunting lately. Gonna get out a few nights this week though.

4 1/2 Month Old Dugga Boy in the Bay Pen for the first time

Went down to Pick up a Hound a friend had been using and introduced the pup to his first Hog along with Gretta GSP and another pup, Spider Plott/Jagd.

I had to take Dugga Boy out after a few minutes as he was all about catching and I was afraid of harming his puppy teeth. He surprised me! I don't know what I did wrong on the phone camera but I just got little 2 second clips. Dugga Boy in green collar.

OVERVIEW

I started a few years back with two Deutsch Jagdterriers, Snatcher and Tugger. Snatch is still with me Tug was killed by a large Boar sometime ago when he was about 1 year old. I then acquired two Plott Hounds from Whitedeer Kennels in Fredericksburg Texas. Campo is still with me and Toes was sold this year to a hunter in South Alabama. Next came my first two female Airedales, Pearl and LoLo from Seth Lawson up in Virginia. I then came by another Airedale male from Donnie Wright from Kentucky. All three are still with me and maturing well all around 2 year old now. I acquired another Whitedeer Plott, Blacky from a friend in Mississippi. I've raised 1 litter with Blacky, a cross with Snatch, (Jagdterrier). Along the way a friend that hunts a lot of Hole Dogs up in Illinois came down to hunt and brought me a great Staghound, (Big Dog) BD for short who is around 2 1/2 now. I now own 4 more Jagds that came from Richard McCorkle down in Georgia including the father of Tug and Snatch, their mother went to Pat Larkin in Bude Mississippi for his breeding program. I need to mention another Jagd that was killed hunting, The Sheik, shaker I called him, one tuff little gritty boy. I got The Sheik from Jay Wholeb another Texas dog via Serbia. I really miss that little man he had a big heart and really never got the chance to show what he could become which could only have been something great. This business is rough on dogs and men's souls. Well that's where we stand right now here in November of 2013. I plan on writing a little on each dog including the ones that have gone on and the new ones in the works. I'll post snips of hunts and stories from us and others as well as lots of info I just deem appropriate for interested parties. Thanks for looking in!
